My coaching approach

First things first.
What’s mindset coaching?

Mindset coaching is about working with clients to create mental frameworks that enable growth, build resilience and drive positive forward momentum during any one of life’s numerous transitions.

As a mindset coach, I work with clients to uncover and shift though patterns that are holding them back. These are typically found in the form of unwanted habits, perspectives and behaviors that tend to make any life transition - even the smallest ones - that much harder.

How does it work?

While coaching sessions are personalized for each individual, there are a few things that stay consistent through the process.

1.

We’ll identify goals and develop strategies to help you approach things with a fresh, empowering perspective.

Each session is driven by what you want – it’s your agenda. You might choose to tackle a behavior or pattern that requires we work on things together over time… uncovering the layers of experiences, thought patterns and mindsets that may have contributed to a behavior that you wish to change. Or we might jump into something that has just come up for you in your day-to-day.

Whatever life is throwing your way, I’m here to support you.

2.

I use lots of different tools. Some are actually Tools® and others come from my background, training and continuing education. For example, I might pull from my 40+ years in the recovery community to help you learn how to approach a habit you’d like to change.

Or I might call upon my acting experience to help you envision something you’d love to bring into your life.

And as an author, I’m a big believer in exercises that put pen to paper (or fingertips to keyboard if that’s your thing). Rest assured, there’s a tool in my proverbial toolbox for everyone.

3.

We talk. You share. I share. You ask questions and I do my best to provide actionable solutions for your consideration.

I don’t propose to have all the answers, I’ll give you my thoughts and perspectives – yours to take or leave.

In our conversations, there will be an exchange of energy that I’ve found critical to problem solving. No session is the same. I keep it real, direct, and designed for forward-thinking, forward-movement. Bring courage and a sense of humor.
